The Public Health Commissioning Network
Welcome to PHCN!
The aim of the Public Health Commissioning Network is to put people involved in commissioning in England in touch with each other, and help share difficult commissioning problems - and their solutions. Read more about PHCN.
Do you have a good example of highlighting unwarranted variation in healthcare, for example using the NHS Atlas of Variation or programme budgeting? Please let us know.
How can we help you today?
- Member Directory (Latest edition 13 June 2011)
- Join the commissioning community and get in touch with colleagues working in the same field as you elsewhere in the country. The Member Directory is published monthly
- Network Newsletter (Latest edition 31 January 2012)
- Read the Newsletters circulated each month to PHCN members. One of the regular items is a lively 'swap shop' of commissioning problems - why not share yours?
- The Casebook (Updated 16 August 2011)
- Get yourself published in this regular round up of commissioning experiences and what others can learn from them
- Targeted web search
- This new tool allows you to search the internet using Google, but only looks for results in a selected group of websites relevant to public health commissioning. Let us know if any websites you use frequently are missing.
- Essential Resources series (Updated 11 July 2011)
- Documents for download which include links to the most useful resources on the web when you're starting to commission in a new field, and papers to support the QIPP Right Care workstream
